Thanks for the positive comments! I was out gunned by some well deserving entries, but I had fun.
The bulb was soldered to solid copper wires which were taped to a narrow 3 foot long oak stick, which ran back from the base of the bulb between my hands. The wires then dropped down to an extension cord. The stick was hanging at the center from the ceiling by a string. The string, wires, and background, all being white, were hidden mostly by my hands, but were pretty much out of focus. voilÃ

Love this and can't wait to see how you did it! The only thing I wish was different was possibly a lower wattage so maybe we could see the details in the bulb, the fillament. It makes me squint, or perhaps that's the effect you wanted ;-) |

great creative interpretation of the rules...very funny too. great exposure, nice sharpness great colors. very vivid. |

I think it's great when I can't figure out how a shot was done. A great way to not only make the bulb look like it's floating, but also lit. A bit too of a literal interp of the theme, but the shot is great anyway. 8 |
