Time and Elementsby HRoxasComment: I like the way the background is very out of focus here, the softness of the background really helps the subject jump out, the subtleness of the border is also nice.
All around a very decent shot to my novice eye. |

Fighter jetby SamsponComment: The hand and little fighter jet are out of focus here. Granted that might be a 'time to setup the image' factor more then anything else, but it would have popped out at me a little better to see 'everything' focused in for me.
The area itself is a little dark as well. |

Portalby breckinshireComment: WOW! I reallu dig how the rust takes on almost a golden sheen to it causing the star to really stand out. I like the uniformity of the focus as well, it shows of good detail.
Is this a manhole cover of some kind? What city has manhole covers like this? |

Out of orderby alfredComment: This image is to small for me to really see what the subject is. Is that an automobile or something up against a rock wall or quary wall of some kind?
Perhaps if this was shot closer to the subject or if this image was larger in size... |

Timeworn...by jmleliiComment: I find it interesting how the focus drops away from the top to the bottom of the image.
Is that you reflected in the shiny metal of the lock? That bit is slightly distracting. I am unsure how you would 'fix' that in future shots. Perhaps someone with better knowledge could answer that... |

abstractby rhipsterComment: I feel the border distracts from the orangy rust in this shot. Although, I have admit that I am not much for adding borders to shots, unless the border is very muted, almost nonexistent colorwise.
Other then the border, I like the choice you made for this shot. It shows some nice rusty color variation along with just a hint of the clean metal at the edges in a few spots. |

Aboveby kjarriComment: Being an owner of that particularly limited digital camera, I have to say I am quite impressed with the photo that you were able to get out of it.
Personally, the best shots I have been able to get out of that camera is at the North American International Autoshow this past year at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. Of course, you have to practically fall over yourself to get crappy pictures at the Autoshow...
Again, I am impressed with the shot. |
