This is nice but I get the impression its all out of kilter, in that the trees look like they have been blown one way, and the ladies hair is blowing the other. Interesting effort, anyway

About time I explained how LUCKY I was to catch this. I saw the ibis wandering along the edge of the dam, asked my pup to stay...shes never behind me when I get close to the dam, not sure why she was this day.....moved stealthily closer, all the while trying to get my camera focussed on the spot where I expected the bird to fly. I think I took about 6 more steps before it took off, and I managed to shoot two images as it did. This one was the better of the two. When I returned home and looked closer, I discovered that there was a kangaroo and two ducks also at the edge of the dam, hadn't even noticed them when I took the shots. I did, however, see a couple of roos bounding away soon after taking the photos, with my pup in pursuit!
