Overlay-day-10.jpgby joynimComment: I like the way she seems to be emerging from the film strip. Distracting background of the original nicely fades away with the overlay treatment. It's enjoyable to look at. |

schoolhouse gallery by ErinMComment: I like this! It just works for me. The wall takes on the texture so well. But I think it's all the repetition of form that keeps me so interested. In the original image there are leaves in the window and on the ground which the hand prints echo in shape. The gravel and twigs of the overlay continue the repetition...swooping lines of hose and grass and twigs repeated in the new texture on the wall. Fun. |

I Spy...Popcornby Janae_CooperComment: Cute idea. I think one well-formed kernel would have worked better. Colors are a little soft...a bit of a saturation bump and a little sharpening would make this image "pop". :) |

I say "Nuts to popcorn!"by NuzzerComment: Seems like of all the squirrels in all the parks in all the world you could have found at least one that liked popcorn... |

snacktime!!!by wickedpeteComment: Lovely light! It really shows the beauty of the model's skin. Pose is fun and the image is playful. Lots to like here!
(BTW, after the challenge I hope you'll tell us just how much popcorn that is.) |

Getting Ready To Pop Openby RosacalacaComment: Doesn't really say "popcorn" to me.
I like the color of these buds. However, the composition feels unbalanced. The background is busy. The frame is cramped. Depth of field is shallow but perhaps too shallow since the second (slightly out of focus) bud is almost equal in size to the other they compete for attention...force one entirely back or give them equal treatment to mirror the other. |

The Results of Gun Fire That Sounded Like Popcornby THEOLDGEEZERComment: I really feel that you're making the title do too much work to fit the challenge...and I'm not convinced of its assertion, either.
I do like the character in the man's clothes and age-worn face. Highlights seem a little blown out, especially on the hair. The flag in the foreground wouldn't be so awful an intrusion if it didn't also intersect with the subject's boots. |
