On Guardby AliciaComment: I love a good cat! This is such a dizzying image, I can really feel the cat's perspective. Except the cat is probably calculating distance and gravity and other scientific calculations. :) |

Day 10by ordinaryangelComment: Reminds me of the DaVinci Code movie. Now wipe that smirk off your face! :) |

Draganized.jpgby booboo_goonComment: Looks like the crackling of varnish on an old painting. I wish the texture carried into the background, too. |

Overlay-day-12.jpgby joynimComment: A lovely art piece! I couldn't express the feelings this evokes any better than emorgan49...her comment captures it! However, for me, there's no ambiguity about the water. The colors are lovely, they create a wonderful tension between the warmth of the young woman's skin and the chilly surroundings. There's a bit of optimism in the story because of the placement of warm colors...she may be unsure about the future but there's life and hope in those warm tones. |

Sunset Trioby AliciaComment: Lots for the eye to explore here! I love the way the tree branches look scratched on to the surface and the watercolor feel and the silhouettes! It feels like a piece of a story. Something magical seems to happen when water and fire are combined in these overlays. |

cut IIby nixterComment: Owwwww!
With that out of the way...it's an interesting (and creepy) image. It gives the impression that the cause of the wound lies just in the background where that black crescent mysteriously looms. I think there's a little disconnect between the thumb and the rest of the hand...the tone and texture don't feel like part of the whole, to me. Otherwise, all it needs is a really creepy title. :) |

day 12. overlays. the floodby rozComment: Wow! What a successful image! If this is what your dreams look like, it's no wonder you weren't getting much sleep!
I love the way the pattern of the birds repeats the rhythm of the waves! I thinkit's what makes these separate elements work together so well. Contextually, I only question why that light is on but the main light of the lighthouse is out. I wondered what it would be like if it were "turned off"...but it provides a nice element on the classic thirds intersection. Maybe if the main light were "on"? Not sure...there's just a little strangeness in the story it seems to tell. But then, it is your dream. ;) |
