 Cut the end of my finger at work the other day! ...don't ask... I'm an idiot! Anyway, just hopped out of the shower and I was changing the band aid and thought this looked kinda funky and wrinkled.

Borrowed your overlay again, Les! Thanks a heap! : )

That finger looks nasty. I bet that hurt A LOT! Sorry and hope it heals well.

What struck me about the shot was first the wound and then the black crescent shadowy shape - which I assumed to be the part of your finger that you amputated, like it was falling away or lying on the ground/table.

It does look as if the injury is somehow related to the crescent shaped thing in the background!

My son goes "oh it's just a cut that was under a bandaid." Takes a 19 year old to put things into perspective. ROFL

Very ominous... like a film noir in which finger rot is running rampant. Love the composition.

Owwwww!
With that out of the way...it's an interesting (and creepy) image. It gives the impression that the cause of the wound lies just in the background where that black crescent mysteriously looms. I think there's a little disconnect between the thumb and the rest of the hand...the tone and texture don't feel like part of the whole, to me. Otherwise, all it needs is a really creepy title. :)

man that looks like it would produced an expletive!!!!!!
love the close up .. but i would ... macro rocks ..
