Archery In Repose
by Akartica42

Comment:
I don't think the POV works well here, could do with some fill flash to get the details of the person, too. A better POV might be directly behind the archer, showing the target in the distance, slightly blured by the DOF....? (And capture the arrow in mid-air and you have action too!)

Not keen on the shadows behind the darts, not sure on the high-key aspect of the darts either, but good action

I think it'd be better to have the cyclists entering the photo (place tyhem on the left) rather than them leaving. Makes the photo feel cramped at the moment

I feel it is cropped too tight - would prefer to see the tips of the oars (or at least 1)

Wow the symmetry here is great, expecting good things (top 3) from this photo! The grass adds much more interest to a normal football action photo - well done!

Comment:
Your aperture is listed at F/2.8, which is quite shallow and explains why the entire knight isn't in focus. Try somthing like F/8 and use a tripod/ better lighting so that there isn't any blur/shaking at the low shutter speed. Unless, of course, the shallow DOF was an artistic thought...

A real, real shame the float isn't in focus...everything else in the picture is perfect! Great idea
