I actually was at the fishin' hole when I took this picture! The image wasn't planned when I went to the lake but I usually have my camera with me and as I was fishing I noticed the sky reflecting off of the still water...hmmm. The bobber is a circle. Let's try this! ;^) I wish I had thought to take the actual bait off of the bobber because when the bobber lands the bait lands first (plus you can see the line running off the bobber in the back). Kind of glad this isn't an advanced challenge as I would be tempted to spend hours trying to fix that extra section of line which of course would create issues with the water ripples, etc...

Great idea. I'm thinking that you pushed the ISO to try to get the shutterspeed. You did your best and It looks almost great. I gave this higher than normal because of the execution. Too bad the result didn't quite have the finish.

Great concept, great composition, great color. My only concern deals with focus, as nothing seems to be fully in focus, notably the bobber and the splash. Don't get me wrong, I am still rating this very high, but I would like to see a bit more sharpness at the bobber.

Nice reflection. Love how the bobber is captured penetrating the water. Wish it were in focus. That would have caught my eye.

If this were crystal clear it would ribbon. Other DPCers should take notice. With ideas and comp like this I'm sure we'll be seeing more of you in the top spots!

I love fishing! :) :) Great reflections on the water - they are there, but do not distract from the bobber... the intensity in the color of the bobber certainly leads me to it across the skies. I wish it was a little tighter focus though :( - 6 - good idea, but needs a little better execution. I think you are on the right path with the angle of the bobber being slightly off, it makes it seem more realistic, and less staged.
