PAIR . Deliveranceby undieyatchComment: is the idea that the word PAIR denotes the idea that two things go together? i'm not quite seeing anything else that seems to be an exploration of this challenge, and the word alone, painted on the side of a bus (?) isn't doing much for me in terms of a photograph. I do think there is some interesting composition going on here with the levels of different lines, the rivets and the archs of the tires below, but its not enough to carry the image without a stronger central focus. i give it a 6. |

Musicby oksamitComment: this is nice, but it could probably do with some greater contrast, maybe with some mroe dramatic lighting. right now it looks a little flat. |

Futilityby welcherComment: great idea and strong composition. great use of dof. i really dig the contrast of natural sepia tones and white background. the border is simple and sharp and the way that one nail goes over the line is smart and adds to the enjoyment of the image. though this is definately an example of futility, the lightness of the presentation makes it accessible. creative, strong, effective. my idea of a perfect 10. |

Together Foreverby brett2004Comment: there seems to be a little too much green happening here - the black of the camera seems way more green than i think it actually is. nice composition. a little low in contrast. |

Virgoby NeuferlandComment: nice use of soft focus and backlighting. the negative space is a little unbalanced to me - either put her more to the left or keep her in the center i think. lovely model. |

Setting A Heart On Fire by ndsComment: That is amazing. And its not JUST a neat effect - you have some very nice, dramatic lighting and interesting backdrop. Overall, the concept and execution is great. A couple of specs and what looks like oversharpening keep this from getting a 10 from me, though. A solid 9 for sure. |

Flaming Monkeysby OneSweetSinComment: cool arrangement, but a little oversaturated i think. kind of hard to look at. and while the arrangement is cool, you left a big gap between to of the monkeys at the bottom, which throws it all off... |

year of the dogby camelotnorthComment: less photoshop, more photo....
i don't mean to sound harsh, but this just isn't a photograph anymore, and for whatever it is, it just isn't all that appealing. trust in the image... |

Caution: Horse Crossingby AmiYuyComment: great composition! nice cropping and use of negative space, the angle on the sign where the horse head comes in is perfect. great perspective. DOF is nice.
if the horse had been real, this would easily be a nine or a ten. |

Low 80'sby cainnComment: very nice tones here, a rich golden sepia, yet with a comanding blue still in the picture. i agree that this works best with a close crop, but maybe you came in a little too close on this one where the iron gets cut off. also, do we have to see the "parking" part of the sign? it kind of sends a mixed message at first becaue i think about driving, then golf. Perhaps the symbol alone with the clubs would work better? |
