Totemsby zeuszenComment: I like this shot a lot and have scored it highly! Definitely communicates, silence, desolation, lonliness, and is an awesome display of gradations of silhouette. I like the crop and blue tint as well. Great job here! |

Waiting in Silenceby f-32Comment: I have used snowy orchards for challenges myself!
I love the way you have used B&W, the starkness of the bark against the snow, and all the glorious gradations of gray, and the long perspective.
I like this picture a lot, but I think it can be improved because it "leans" to the right, I think.
The eye goes down the row, then has nowhere to go but slip off the right margin because of the pressure from the mountain. If the mountain were centered, or there was another object to carry the eye back to the mountain, the symmetry of the scene would be a bit better.
A beautiful shot, nontheless. |

Silent Lucidityby dacrazyrnComment: A good take on the death scene. I do hope Woody Allen is not a member here! ;D
I like the touch with the monitor, and the stark honest nature of the shot as well. Good job,,scores well. |

.by rhipsterComment: I like this original idea of your a lot, and I think you executed it very well. I have a too-dark monitor, so I'd bet some may say there are some blown high-lights, but that stuff doesn't bother me too much. I like your use of lighting here. This scores well with me :) |

The Screaming Sunby Everyday ReneeComment: An interesting take on the sunset-serenity shot! This time in portait mode and B&W!! But it definately works, and scores well with me. The branches look a tad oversharpened? also, the sea level is not quite level, I think? |

Silenceby simbambaComment: What a lovely swan shot! The important head is well exposed, and the excellent cropping and DOF makes for a very appealing abstract beauty. |

Momentby MaverickComment: A good cemetary shot. Honest, simple and straightforward.
I have a quibble: The perspective line, and the eye, takes a zig-zag, and never quite makes it to the upper left quadrant of the picture.
This scores well with me :) |
