I gather you were going for the whole 'pink slip' thing but honestly a pink sheet of paper with "Layoff Notice" typed on it seems to be, I don't know... wrong. I'm not sure I get the scissors thing (even with the title). Conceptually a bit too abstract in general for me I suppose.

When you pun, god kills a kitten.

Very arty, sort of poster I would expect someone to hang on their wall at college style. Nice bright colours against nice dark background. Not my personal thing, but I can see other people wanting something like this.

Okay, this is the third time I've looked at this and I'm still not sure what I think of it. It's an interesting idea, but the expression on the visible face doesn't seem to go with the title, and that's part of what's throwing me. The problem is, I have no suggestions for what would have to be different before I was sure I liked it, so I'm just going to leave it at that one thing and vote and move on. Sorry...

It would appear you have some strange coworkers.

Yeah, this is on topic, but I don't know, it doesn't really grab me.

Bobble-head Ted? That's probably the most apt bobble-head ever!

I think I would have preferred the background figurine be in more focus than it is. I understand the stapler for context, but maybe that could have gone behind and the toys in front... I don't know.

Not sure I agree with your title but I guess I get your point. Anyhow. Yeah, kind of interesting array of stuff, much better than a cubicle shot could've been by a long shot.

Run for your lives!

Heh. This made me smile -- definitely funny. I'm actually not sure if I like it with the tape dispenser but mostly I think because that's the brightest colour in the photo -- maybe if it were a bit more of a muted tone. The eyes keep going to there away from the 'action' of the shot.

More interesting in terms of topic than many office supplies, but I'm not sure about the tightness of focus; having so much blur foreground combined with the bright highlights detracts from the photo as a whole.

I can't call this 'abstract' as obviously I know exactly what's in the photo, but that was sort of the sense I got. I'm sure there's a word for this I'm just forgetting because I'm not art-critic material. :)

That having been said... I like the choice to include only a single coloured clip.

Might make an interesting catalog photo. I question the choice of black and white but I'm just like that... still, as your subject is itself not something most people are going to spend a long time looking at, having it be bright and colourful might help.
