The Wild Thornberriesby magnetic9999Comment: Since the challenge is narrowly defined as 'recreate a scene from a movie,' I have to vote this one down, though I think it's a very pretty image. I'd have easily scored it 8 for 'In the Garden'. :-> |

End of The Workby sherryk471Comment: Finally, a GOOD use of soft focus! Ok, not the first, by a long shot, but it sometimes sure feels like it. This enhances mood without making me feel like I'm looking through a window smeared with Vaseline. Well done! I like the colors, too. |

Elvish landscapingby JimBComment: Technically, I know this is a flower, but MAN it's so darn pretty I'm not voting it down on those grounds (and the topic's forbidding flowers as the main subject). 10. Some would say the focus is 'blurry,' bu tthe fact that there are bubbles of *perfect* sharp focus floating on the softer background makes it work for me, making it (a) intentional and (b) enchanting instead of making me want to clean my monitor. |

Wanda's Rainbowby StewanComment: I really wish this weren't so blurry and overprocessed-looking (though I know you probably did it on purpose). It just makes it so unattractive, and doesn't leave the eye anywhere to settle. |

100% Pure Felineby geminiwbComment: The exposure seems kind of blown out, making the whiter bits featureless and the ginger bits washed-out-looking. |

Lace Skyby amsmythComment: Although this is one of my favorite images in the entire contest this time, I have to rate it lower than I might otherwise like because, well, the subject *doesn't* fill the frame. :-/ I wish I could give this the 8 or 9 I want to (or the 10, if it weren't quite so grainy - higher jpg quality next time?), but I can't in good conscience, because of what the topic is. |

Churchby russiComment: Unfortunately, it doesn't quite manage to 'fill the frame,' imho. The sky does add a relief, a distance, that lest you appreciate the church ... but by the same token, it also takes it out of this particular topic. |
