Glad to get the story behind this one. Feel a bit foolish for not recognizing that as a fish, but at least I wasn't the only one who thought it resembled a dinosaur. Interesting that the bird was an accident, too, but it does fit your "story." Even without as obvious an example of the literal challenge topic as was found in many entries, I thought this one might do better. I like it a lot.

Congrats!

And after comparing the shots, I think the runner added tremendously to the scope. The runner-less shot feels smaller. Great choice.

I like this one quite a bit, largely for it's originality. Nice to see a change from the rails, roads, and fences.

I think I'd have liked this better if it had just been the mirror against a background that was all pavement.

I assume this is an alternative take on the concept of vanishing, and I like the creativity. The "shadow" in the corner confuses me a bit. Appears to be a bird...a nod to the title? To the bird/dinosaur connection? I can't imagine it's an accident, as it would've been easy to crop out. Or maybe I'm way off base with everything I'm thinking. Either way, this is the first picture that I've really wised I could know the story behind and hear its meaning explained.

Was the person intentional? I'd probably have waited for her(?) to clear the shot, though at the same time I do like having a reference point to really convey the size of the trees.

I think I'd have liked a tighter crop. The upper right corner really draws my eye away from the "proper" path.
