 This is a group of special soldiers, dressed with the traditional uniform . You can find them in the center of Athens,at syntagma , they are the guards of Greek parliament.I hope you like them.
Levels,unsharp mask,selective desaturation keeping the red and the blue channel.

Greetings from the Critique Club

I am delighted to have the opportunity to critique this image. I didn't get to it during the Challenge.

The voters knew what they were doing when they scored this high. It's an unusual subject, a unique viewpoint and well done. What more can you ask of a photographer and his equipment. It was an excellent idea to simplfy the image by selective desaturation. The one point I had some question on was the sleeve in the upper right. I moved it around on my monitor, but came to the conclusion the sleeve needs to be there for a point of reference.

In any event, nice seeing on your part. I look forward to seeing more of your very good work in future Challenges.

I have visited your beautiful city a few times and found it beautiful. You have many photographic opportunities there, for sure.

Definitely the most original take on the challenge, and a pretty darn good photograph, too! I'd say it's my favorite of the challenge but that will doom you...

I really like this shot. This is a unique and very interesting interpertation of the challenge. However, the way the single rifle stands out by being the most colorful item in the shot, takes away from the concept. It draws the eye away from the vanishing point and then becomes the main focal point of the shot.
