paper rainbowby margiemuComment: Lively and different, an eyecatcher. (I personally would have arranged the sheets in a more regular rhythm.) I do like the different textures, too. Well done. Cordelia :) |

Vitalityby esdarbyComment: Green means life, water means life, so I find this well chosen to illustrate the topic of this competition. Nice positioning off centre with different shades of green. Judging from looking at it on my screen it could be a tad bit sharper. I like the soft beige brown colour of the background and the water dripping down in the FG. I am wondering, though, whether this is taken from behind a glass pane because it seems a bit foggy. |

In Her Eyesby mpetersComment: The girl: She looks so innocent, beautiful and trusting, her smile and eyes are most radiant. She must be enjoying her life and looking forward to the future. I wish her a happy future and the bit of luck always needed to make dreams come true.
The photograph: Good contrast of shades, the brown tones around her face make it still more vibrant. It is exquisite. The viewer connects right to the subject because she seems to be looking into his/her eyes. |

choicesby tcmartinComment: Very sweet, creative idea of illustrating the topic of this composition. Simple, effective. The cracked egg is well-placed off-centre, the baby has already gone, walked into life, we just see its 'foot prints', heading off in a diagonal direction. Well done! |

Country life is beautifulby boodComment: Good composition with the diagonal line of the straw (?) separating FG from BG. Children are life, harvest is life, nature is life, clouds are life -well illustrated topic. The FG seems a bit under-exposed and so does the child. Also, I would have cropped another 20% off the bottom part. |

The Gift of Life Eternalby timfythetooComment: Beautiful, simple composition with strong colours. Death is part of life, so IMO this is a good illustration of the subject of this competition. The crosses are well-positioned off-centre, indicating a triangle reaching both down into the ground and up into the sky. Very effective. |

Life_Insulinby zoolComment: It looks like a 'clinical' image. The title is needed, though, to understand the purpose of the medication 'portrayed'. Motiv, subdued colours, the cool plain background, and composition indicate a life depending on medicine, a life we don't like. But still, this is life too. And those in need of 'Humalog' have no choice, it is their life-support.
Composition: Subjcet off-centre, simple, clear lines, one vertical on the LH side, one diagonal from RH side to lower LH corner. Good DOF with end of the syringe, i.e. instrument/action, blurred. Very thoughtfully created composition. |

Origins of Lifeby shamerComment: Hmmm, I am trying to guess: a microscopic image of a human egg? But then a 3/4 halo around it, the whole thing in blue against black, like the planet earth in the universe. Am not quite sure what I am looking at here. Still, I like the composition and colour combination. |
