Good composition with the diagonal line of the straw (?) separating FG from BG. Children are life, harvest is life, nature is life, clouds are life -well illustrated topic. The FG seems a bit under-exposed and so does the child. Also, I would have cropped another 20% off the bottom part.

I like your photo but I don't think it will get a ribbon. Perhaps it is too light - I would have liked it a bit "warmer". I wonder what would have happened with another angle: say you tak it right from ground level upwards so that you do not get the trees in the background. You will then only have hay and blue sky with the cute little fellow. Like your interpretation of the subject. Overall a good composition. Good luck

Fun image overall. Maybe stronger for his family members than most of the voters (but then I am guilty of those types of images over and over and over and...)

I can see a lot of potential in this opportunity. I'd love to see a much tighter shot of him really playing in the straw, throwing it up in the air, right in the middle of everything, with just the straw behind him as a background.
