Dogwoodby draney4Comment: This photo is curious because the background is in better focus than the flower. Did you intend that to be what happened? Do you have a camera that doesn't have a macro setting?
Also, I think you could have made a more dramatic photo by picking a blossom such as the one in the lower left corner that's in some sunlight -- the highlights and shadows would give it some depth and some added interest.
I love dogwood, though, and it's nice to see it in the challenge.

After the stormby vcosmaComment: I think this photo would be improved if you made the horizon level. Nice clouds, though. |

"Wind on the Water"by sfarrell23Comment: I think I would have cropped out the power lines in this. Otherwise, a really nice photo -- the wind on the water really shows nicely. |

Conditions at 2 PM around Dow's Lake Ottawa (Not a BW photo)by gmacproComment: Have you had tons of people commenting on the fact that the horizon is off and would be a better photo if you made sure it was parallel to the bottom of the frame? Even so, the picture has great atmosphere and reminds me why I now live where there is no real winter. :) |

Eye of the Beholderby TarbiniComment: I love your sky, but I think if you'd had a little something from the land in the photo, the picture would have seemed a bit more solid. Definitely a cool sky, though. |

Snow Curlsby karmatComment: Is that really snow? I never saw anything like that before. It's pretty neat! How on earth did you get up there to take the photo? On a ladder? (I love photos that make me wonder how they were made.) |

Welcome Springtimeby ndsComment: I really like the composition of this photo -- it's got a very nice sense of movement. I'm not a big fan of frames on the digital photos, but in this case, I think it really helps containing the large amount of blue sky. Good work! |

Purple Peepersby dphillipsComment: I love Peepers -- what a nice idea to have one sitting on a green egg! Very original. |

These colors don't run.by ladpupmoeComment: Nice idea. I would have like to have seen you correct the angle of the photo so the flagpole was perpendicular, though -- it doesn't look very solid at this angle (as though someone put it in sand and it started to fall). |
