Greetings from the critique club :)

I'm going to diagree with nearly everyone who commented on this shot...I LIKE the uneven horizon. I think it is because I love to go to the beach and the horizon never looks straight there anyway.

The focus is great and the composition/choice of subject is wonderful. The overall effect of the photo is a little dark, but the darkness adds to the mood.

I also like the interesting little bit of reflection on the front edge of the waves.

Great Shot!

nice shot. Wish the horizon were horizontal

I think this photo would be improved if you made the horizon level. Nice clouds, though.

Good treatment in the clouds. Need to level the horizon.

Level the horizon and you've got a great shot! Love the cool colrs and I think the shot is perfectly exposed. Still going to give you a high mark despite the horizon.

Basically a lovely image. You can rotate it with most photo editing programs, so your horizon does tilt. Those clouds are wonderful! :-)

pretty good. would like to see something in the foreground or background to give a better DOF

Watch that horizon.

Nice seascape. Great contrast. Too bad the waves weren't a lot bigger

ah, I love it! lots of movement in the waves and the clouds. maybe a person or a bouy or something to give us a subject, but its still pretty nice as is. :)

An excellent photo to depict weather! This pic tells me everything, good!
04/16/2003 05:31:26 AM
pic seems to be on a slight slantwhich would make all the water flow down hill and presumably to the south pole

Keep the horizon level.

Good Shot. Should have rotated it a little, and cut out the sand.

Your horizon is leaning, other then that this is a nice warm shot. Very pleasing to look at. Good job.

Very moody and intense. Seems a little off-level though. Could also have used a focal point or some framing. 7- floyd

This is a beautiful stormy photograph. The horizon is just a little bit tilted, but that can easily be fixed with your favorite post processing software.

Nice but the tilted horizon is a distraction.

A smidge off level. Nice tone/contrast between the white of the sky and the white of the water. This picture evokes my imagination. Good Job!

This is the most titled picture I've seen in a long time. I don't see how anyone could miss it (the photographer) but I guess that IS in fact possible. :)

The horizon appears to be on an angle. The mood of the day is captured well.

Image is tiled a little bit, kind of throws me off. Other than that a nice photo. 6 md

2 things - The horizon is way off level and I think the sand was overcropped.

Nice shot but I would like to see the horizon as a straight line. You've captured a nice scene here.

Great photo but i can only guess at how many people have told you to straighten up your horizon.

Nice picture. I think it might be more effective if the horizon were either level or on a much steeper incline.

The horizon looks a bit tipped, love the ocean and clouds.

nice shot, but the horizon should be level or tilted more extremely... - setzler

NIce clouds. Horizon being on such an angle spoils the shot though.

Whilst there is a vague line in the clouds that IS horizontal, I don't think it's efeective enough to require the horizon to be tilted - and also, it's tilted so little it seems like a mistake. Like the light in the clouds, but you seem to have cropped that out just as it's getting really interesting. It's an OK shot, but looks rushed to me.

this is slightly tilted, actually its more tilted, everyone will say that though, well not everybody just the people that aren't too lasy to point that out to you. its a great capture but the slight tilt is going to 'kill' you.

Good duality: dark clouds and white caps.
