Day 1 Tracksby ElaineComment: Great leading line with the track, and the repetition of the wood gives it anice rhythm. The texture might have been brought out even more if you would have chosen a different time of day, like just before the sun goes down. Then it would give it a nice warm hue and add some nice shadows...just a thought. |

Day 2 - Black and whiteby xianartComment: I really like your black and white! It's a lot different than most people, including I, edit for black and white. Usually people make the highlights, like the face, almost totally white, adding to the contrast. But I really like this...The less contrast makes it seem more real, and also sort of old, like I saw it out of an old photo album. |

Day 2 - In colourby xianartComment: The blur really adds to the emphasis of the face. Also, I love the orange! It add some nice color contrast to the blue. |

Day 1by HipychikComment: I really don't mind the darkness. I think you picked a good exposure to keep the detail in the shadows and highlighs. Maybe just 1/3 of a stop or 1/2 might have made the front a bit brighter, but it's not worth it if you lose the detail (IMO).
Also, the line of the church isn't quite strait...very nitpicky of me, but that's lot of what I'm trying to focus on this challenge...I'm usually HORRIBLE at paying attention to straight horizens, etc. Anyway, I measured it in Photoshop and it's only like .57 degrees off. It doesn't really change much, but rotating it .57 degrees clockwise just makes the steeple look a bit more straight. |
