 well, may be a DNMC shot but furniture is meant to be used and showing it empty just looked sooooo darn boring to me. I was doing this shot of the chair alone and my daughter wanted to be in some. she doesnt like to not be in the shots i take so I let her sit in it for a few just to appease her but when uplaoded them, the ones with her seemed so much more interesting that I couldnt enter an empty one. hope it still does well of course but I understand if it does not. this was a bit of a set up too. had to move the computer and desk, chair and a another massage chair to make room for this shot and use a giant extention cord to put a strobe out in the front yard to make the light through the window. also switched our usual curtains with ones from odysseys room since hers are lighter and better for this shot that what we had. ugh..i'm dreading pressing the submit button............... 4.8, here I come :(

oh yeah. I didn't realize the blinds were messed up until it was too late and everything was already back in place.

I love when you expect a 4.8 and get a 6.5. Granted, that has never happened to me, but I'm betting I'd love it... :-)

Maybe a Curtins Challenge would make some justice to this beautiful shot. This is one of the best photos of the last weeks. Congrats Crystal!

Wow! What a beautiful photo! I didn't get to this one in the voting, but I think I would have given it a deserving 10! I'm sorry this didn't get more recognition! Although top 15 and 6.57 isn't bad. It's just that to me, this looks like it ought to be one of the winners!

congratulations on a fantastic place and an excellent photograph .. absolutely love it ... just love the dark and moody feel .. love the curtain blowing out and the girl sitting there with not a lot of her actually showing coz of the dark ... love how you've composed your shot and the contrasts and colouring work so well .......
