Enlightenmentby JamesKWComment: This is the first shot that I've seen in this challenge that has any humor to it. How can one NOT smile when seeing these Buddhas. Although I love this shot, and in another challenge, I'd vote it an 8 or 9, the buddhas in this are distracting to the calmness of the candle, which should be the only subject matter. The glass of the blue dish blends in harmony with the black background. As does the candle itself, which hints at an inner glow, and the light from the candle is superb in creating a sense of stillness. I'm giving you a 7, only because of the buddhas' distraction to the overall zen. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! |

Calm Reflectionsby philupComment: Wow. Good job with the stillness in this shot. The sky and the water, the trees and the water, they are at one. I know that sounds cliche, but in your photo, it's true. I find the golf-course green lawn a little distracting, but not enough to knock you anything for it. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! |

some and noneby tcmartinComment: Love the colors and simple placement of the subject in the area of the deepest color, and how it fades to nothingness. Great creation of zen. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! |

Rocks and Bambooby admart01Comment: Very nice use of minimal tone and color. I like the hint of being in water, but something seems grainy around the bamboo itself. Other than that, this photo is near perfect! Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! |

Stillby MacDonaldComment: Yes, I feel the sense of zen in this one. The bird seems to be one with the environment around him, and he seems to be in tune with his surroundings. The little bit of movement in the water just may be his dinner. Very minimal subject matter, I LOVE how he's beautifully perched on the rock. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! |

Dhyânaby AdrienneGCComment: A very nice shot. Besides being a great portrait, the softness of the colors and lighting makes this work for me. The background is NOT distracting, which is a plus for me in this challenge. The subject is interesting, but has a sense of softness about her as well, which works in harmony with the total shot. She seems at peace, and that peace is carried over to the whole photo, and then to me, the viewer. Great job from the 'Great Job Baggie'! |
