Warp Speed Mr Sulu...by jlanoueComment: Awesome concept and title, but it might be better with darker, richer blacks. I can see quite a bit of noise throughout, but then again, everyone's screen is calibrated differently :/ |

Medusaby banmornComment: Very painterly! I would like to see a bit more highlights, but overall very nice. |

Its A Wonderful Lifeby tpbremerComment: I'd prefer it to be a little less grainy, but it suits the challenge in more than one way! Very clever!! |

With A Purple Umbrella And A Fifty Cent Hatby HipychikComment: The exposure here is near-perfect, just a little blown in the snow. The clarity is also very nice. I'm still deciding whether or not I like the square-ish composition, maybe cropping out more of the background to her right would have a better feel? Also, I think the purple umbrella would stand out a bit more if the model's clothes weren't so colorful.
6 for a good idea/execution |

Houses Of The Holyby QuasimojoComment: Lovely symmetrical composition, and great colors. I especially love the details in the roofing. Only thing I can suggest is to use some dodging/burning to bring out the details in the clouds (and to disguise that blown highlight in the sky). That contrast in the sky would look great with the rotting, mossy roof! |

We come from the land of the ice and snowby LalliSigComment: I like the attitude you've captured in this image- it's not sassy, not reserved but it has a nice confidence to it. I love how her eyes match her surroundings, giving her a real sense of belonging. The only things I'm unsure about are the bold border, and the uneven vignetting. It looks great at the bottom, giving a nice transition into the contrasting border, but without the vignetting at the top to match it, it makes it look like an accident.
I think I'll bump this to a 7. |

The Ocean (Houses of the Holy-Track 8)by SouthCoastOr3gonComment: This is a really nice capture- good use of long exposure. I would have liked to see a little bit more in post-processing to make it really pop; nothing too drastic, maybe playing with curves, or even just dodging the clouds up top.
A more dramatic crop also might increase the impact, instead of using 1/2 water, 1/2 sky, using 2/3 sky or water.
6 for me |

"Queen of Light" The Battle of Evermoreby swordandsigilComment: Excellent choices in post-processing. Normally I am not a fan of visible halos when people dodge and burn, but it enormously helps create the effect relevant to the title you chose.
The feel is very ethereal, but I think I would like to see a bit more detail in her left arm and the bow (as it was not easily apparent to identify). Overall it's a good capture, and a great interpretation of the song lyric chosen! |

Down By The Seasideby artvetComment: This image is exquisitely cropped- perfect distance between the palm trees to the top and bottom of the photo, and the color sets a wonderful, serene mood. Very well done, one of my favorites! |
