The Wall

wow, at Vassar! Now I'm trying to figure out where on campus that is. i'm amazed at how the end of the wall fades; because i can't see where the top of the wall ends, it appears to almost lead into a vanishing point! i think it would be super interesting if the left side of the wall was cropped so that we couldn't see the ground. then, the wall might appear to be much larger and more massive than it is! either way, i really like it. reminds me of the yellow brick road!

you wanna know something weird? until i read the comments below, i always thought this photo was of some unidentifiable animal that i'd never seen before, facing me with its nose up in the air and showing me its teeth...almost smiling or laughing. i never noticed the bird's beak in the background, because for some reason the nose in the air stuck out at me. can you see it? i'm probably the only one...

ah! i knew this might be you! the crazy thing about this image is that it's almost unbelievable that the eye and the wire above it are sharing the same space. if you cut the picture in half horizontally, they could easily be two different photos; but the reflection in the frog's eye is what makes them inseparable.

this photograph is exquisite! the symmetry makes it other-worldy. it feels like staring at it long enough would take me into the twilight zone; that's how much the simplicity and colors create a world of their own.
