Midnight Redby SandyPComment: Red Lorikeet?
The colors of this photo are just awesome!! The beak stands out great against its purple compliment and the rainbow lori in the background is terrific! Its great how you dont notice it right away.
I love the way the red in the background echoes the shape of the birds body in the foreground (that looks like a wing, not sure). I also like how the wing helps bring your eye to the edge of the photo.
I love this photo, it has a great feel to it (I love birds too, though, so you get extra points for that!) 10!! |

Juvenile Summer Tanager?by amjltComment: Wow!! I feel as though it may be a male Purple Finch, though ;) Beautiful bird! I wish the light was more even over his body, especially his head- but thats the trouble with birds! Nice shot :) |

Who's Thereby anthonyczajaComment: Unfortunately I can't vote, but this is my favorite of the bunch. The duotone really works for this photo. Great job and good luck :) |

Alone in a Crowd by PedroComment: Very nice, one of my favorites. It took me a while to sort out which wasnt the same. I think I would have liked it better with your eyes open and the one statue on the right not "looking" straight at the viewer- so that you were the only one actually engaging the viewer. Very nice job, though. |

A Bird in a gilded cageby Rando D300Comment: Beautiful! I just wish the lighting on the bird could have been more even, especiially around its eye. I know its not easy to take good cage shots, though. |

Nightviewby lynnesiteComment: Absolutely beautiful.
If only spot editing were allowed, there is just one light spot about half way up on the left that bothers me. You still get a 10, though :) |
