d o t s -&- l i n e sby annahComment: I'm pretty sure I know who this is ;)
You've outdone yourself on this portrait. The composition is excellent. The liquid eyes are well captured and the face 'painting' makes the picture so unique. I really hope you get the blue!!!
The only tiny thing I might change is the small amount of overprocessing on the right side of the image by the nose and the cheek.. but it's not that noticeable.
Well done!! |

Forgotten Water (JPG-based retouch)by Zed PobreComment: I think your PS version really increased the perception of depth of this photo... And you started out with an amazing depth of field shot with a blury, sharp, blury gradient that really works well!
IMHO, increasing the yellow color even more to a brighter one would help further! I love the sun streaks on the grass... In the end, the exposure seems perfect to me!
Well done.

re-edited-horse.jpgby sheapodComment: Following good previous comments is hard :) I do agree that this photo is the best of all three. I like the new crop and the image is not too sharp now. I'm myself learning to play with dodge and durn (I know it works better in B&W) but I wonder if the slightest of dodging might help as well? Maybe a 2-3% on some parts of his mane and his skin to bring out highlights? Maybe you could also burn a bit of the stall to make it fade in the background? Outside of those minor details, well done!!! |

Eruptionby dsidwellComment: Added this to my favorites! Love the clouds and the editing of them! Wonder how you did it? smudging or did you add streaks in yourself as well? Great composition as well!
You're an amazing photographer!!! |

The Stare Downby JutildaComment: Great shot!! I love his stare and the capture is excellent in terms of lighting and sharpness! His whiskers and nose really do seem to pop out of the photo :) I do think however that the background takes away from the beauty of the animal itself... I wonder how it looks even more cropped so you only see the center of his face and none of the greenery (you'd loose his ears though)... a tad more of USM also, especially around the eyes?
Very well done! |

Disneyland Reflectionby JutildaComment: Great shot. The reflections really add 'Disney' magic! I wonder if PS burning the sky a bit darker would make a difference? .. to make it as dark as the reflected sky in the water? Well done! |

Rain, Rain Go Away...by PhilosComment: This is the best one so far! I love the expression, the cropping, the colors! Very well done. The only minor distraction is the bottom right corner with the bright green area...not sure if a selective desaturation might have helped that. But it's so minor of a point! I wonder if it's a thai child perhaps ;)
I hope it ribbons. Perfect 10! |

Edited-small.jpgby TallblokeComment: It's a nice photo! and the clouds are so rich in texture and contrast.
You did a good job with the dodging and burning to bring out details in the clouds. It might have added 'sparkle' to dodge a bit more of the sea surface on the right side, where the sun is shining...not sure if you were using midtones or highlights for the dodging? not sure if it really makes that much of a difference?
And I wonder how it would look if you darkened the mountains more (all while lighting up the ocean more as well...)
The post processing gives extra dimensions to your already nice photo! Well done!

Winter Floraby Keith ManiacComment: I love the simplicity of nature and your photo does a wonderful job capturing that. The very gradual increase in lightness for the background is great and the composition works well! IMHO, the perspective on the middle flower works best in terms of angles and capturing the details of the flower parts... almost like fireworks!
Nice pic! |
