love it. Believe it or not I have seen this done a lot. I went to brooks institute of photography and a lot of the students there did photos with this point of view. I do think the dcp folks will like it.

kids don't need this much retouching!!! They have beautiful skin. This little one looks fake! That is not always a good thing. If you knew you were going to retouch this much I would have changed the wardrobe, it does not fit the doll skin look. She should look like a kid not plastic! Now that I am done having a fit, the facial expression is very nice and the hair is pretty. I don't love the framing, but it is not bad. 6

I don't think the high key works so well here. Kids have great skin and usually high key will make adult skin look better. Not that you can't photo children in high key. Because your lighting down on her face the depth of light is dropping off a bit and her chin and lower lip has some tone coming in. This makes me feel like your light is just uneven and over exposed not high key. Even so I love the faming and the expression 7

I love everything about this but the light. I would have liked to see more of a highlight in the eyes. However everything else about the photo is stunning. I love love love the facial expression and the hair. I could even argue that the darker eyes work with the photo, but I do love beautiful light. So I think that a 9 in in order, really nice job!

I don't know that I would call this a portrait. I am all for non traditional portraits, but I think it goes beyond to photojournalism.
