Scene from my Nightmareby nico_blueComment: *Critique Club*
This photo has good qualities.
It has an easily indentifiable subject: a broken lightbulb with a smattering of "blood" (infinitely pleased to know its not real!).
A good set focus including the bulb filament, and screw, leads the eye to the centre of the photograph and then drawing it out slowly with the broken peices laying around the central filament.
The lighting is bright enough to show a little reflection on the glass and background without becoming overexposed.
There is a definite amount of planning that has gone into this photo, and it shows in the fact that the photo is "print" quality, and the overall "feel" of the photo is quite professional.
The only thing that I would point out as being slightly off is a vague "rainbow" of colour near the mid-top half of the photo which may have been caused during compression. My suggestion is that when compressing an image, make sure to choose the highest quality you can have, then resize the image until it meets size (kbs) limits.

Wind-erby GeneralEComment: I would have to state that the visual pun is one of the ONLY photos that didnt go for the obvious. You wouldnt believe how many photos there were of people blowing on things... is the topic breeze, or blowing, no its "wind". The word has many meanings, and to those who disparage at the pun, well. |
