| At first I was thinking to myself that this was a candy shot and had very little artistic value- but then- I was really taken by the green color of the waves and you could almost taste the sea spray. fantastic color and great job! |

It also helped that I posted something other than a flag which voters were pretty tired of, myself included.
Thank you all for your votes and the great comments. I'm puzzled how anyone could miss the wind in my photo? As for lack of a focal point, I really wanted to draw attention to the mist rather than the wave itself so I posted a shot with a really wild spray. I had many other pics with beautiful waves but the focus would be more on the water than the element of wind.
All I was hoping for was a top 10 finish. Looks like Santa left me a yellow ribbon for the holidays! |

| I think this shot lacks only one thing - a focal point (such as a surfer or swimmers). The blowing spray does a good job of depicting WIND. |

| Despite this being a good shot, it shows more of the water than the wind... I do realize wind plays an important part in generation of the waves, but that's just not obvious from this shot. |

| I am curious how you achieved this particular sky. Appears unnervingly dark against the bright waves. Quite interesting drama and excellent composition overall. Strong on technical aspects. Appropriate to challenge theme. |
