I have no idea what this actually is, which makes your title all the more confusing. I'm usually a fan of black backgrounds for shots, but the subject here is blurry on the bottom left, and either there's not enough of it showing for me to know what it is, or I'm being ignorant because I was only 2 years old in 1987. :o)

Very pretty. The water has a purple-ish tint to it, which gives it a sort of magical atmosphere. Gorgeous view!

I really like this shot. My one complaint is the noise - while I think you probably used it to make the photo appear that it was taken in 1960 (which is a good idea in theory), as someone who's used the noise filter in Photoshop before, it looks very uniform and digitally added to me. Great shot though! 7

I think this would actually work better with a different year - one in which farming and cattle were more important to the nation than they are today. Farmers struggle so much these days that this seems more fitted to years past than years present.

Title aside, I love the simplicity of the shot, the gorgeous clear blue sky, and the focus on the cow. Good colors and composition. Great shot! 9
