Could have worked well in some challenges - just not this one. This does not represent any particular era, there have been Sylvias throughout many eras

Sorry, but I can't see how this is representative of the year '2005' - It could be any year, and so wouldn't mean much in a time capsule. Excellent shot though - Would probably be top 20 in a 'nature' challenge!

IMO, this shot could span about 1700 through to now, and probably further. It may be time specific to you, but your average viewer probably won't have that connection.

I like the picture -- well exposed, well composed minimalism. It doesn't really accomplish the objective - could be 2005 could be 1925

This is a great picture, however very similar to another popular picture here on DPC and also does not fit the challenge.

While this is an interesting shot, and I like the way it breaks the rule of thirds, I personally don't see the Time Capsule challenge being met. This could easiy have been titled 1957 or any other year.

Funny, wow when a photo makes you laugh you know it's more than a thousands words. Very nice, I enjoy the subject to the right. Somple but effective.

I think this would actually work better with a different year - one in which farming and cattle were more important to the nation than they are today. Farmers struggle so much these days that this seems more fitted to years past than years present.

Title aside, I love the simplicity of the shot, the gorgeous clear blue sky, and the focus on the cow. Good colors and composition. Great shot! 9

Sylvia is amazing! Don't know where she fits the challenge unless it was a good year for milk yield but wow! Could this have been great in a "minimalist" challenge.
