| sweet photo. Nice job. Signs look a little funny but probably because their color was removed. I don't think fire extinguishers were that style in '55. :) |

| 7 - Met the Challenge (I think a photo of this put into a 'time capsule' would give future generations a good depiction of this era/year). I like the effects you have used here I think they are ideal for bringing out the textures and color here. Criticism; not too much, perhaps the red carnation? clashes a little, for 'pure authenticity' the waitress' hipsters detract a little in my opinion. Perhaps a slightly different angle or crop could have made this a better photograph, not sure, I think you have done well. |

Very nicely done! The effects of B&W and red work well on this photo. Very 50's.
I wonder if the pic would improve if the person was at a different angle to the camera (vs completely turned away) - not sure.

Apparently, I need to go win a ribbon before you can value my comments, therefore I will strike this one. (I'd take my vote back, too, if I could.)
Rather cool! I like the choice of desaturation--the reds just pop.
Given the many anachronisms in this image, I would have believed 1975 long before '55--especially with the long hair on the model. (Others include the plastic pitcher, the catsup bottles, the towel dispenser...)
Still a fine image in which the highlights sing.

| I like this alot...totally "1955". IMO The post processing is a little odd/smooth/"solarized"...and takes away from the "1955" feel a bit any makes me think "new wave" 1980's...still a cool pic. |

| Great job! This just screams retro 55 with an almost plastic and silk 70s feel. The only thing I didn't care for was the color of the kechup in the late nineties squirt bottles. A "9" |
