Stone Roseby myqylComment: This is a superb shot. The artistry of the light is wonderful. It has an amazingly relaxing quality and I also like the use of the leaves to add the reality punch. OK, I can't fault the picture- I really like the shot. But, I'm not sure how it fits the challenge. Is there a reflection here, not sure; it looks like a picture of a painting of a rose was usedâ€Â¦ Hmmmâ€Â¦ Hope that makes senseâ€Â¦ (9) Yes, I do like it that much â€Â¦ |

Place de Catalogne, Paris, Ricardo Boffil, 1985by lionelmComment: I like the idea, but the right third of picture is conflicting heavily with the rest of the image. It moves moved from a symmetrical approach to dramatic diagonal lines within the same shot. This is actually – in my opinion – two separate shots in one; both of which would stand on their own. Try cropping out both sections and looking at them separatelyâ€Â¦ Other than that, it's a well taken shot. (8) |

splashby willemComment: I love the colour in the shot, I love how it looks and I think it's a great shotâ€Â¦ (10) I tried so hard to achieve this and failed; please, how'd you do it? |

Midnight, a time for reflectionby nbortonComment: Class shot. I like the idea and I think you have pulled of a first class shot. Having said that, I believe that framing the subject further to the right would have given this shot 10 appeal. I know that the thirds rule isn't broken here, but the negative space to the right of the subject is far too overpowering and kills the primary subject by tugging the attention away, which is in total contrast to the left of the subjectâ€Â¦ (8) Ok (9) thenâ€Â¦ I really do like the shot despite all that. |

Hard drive reflectionby xertionComment: Ordinarily I'd shout – NO BLOOMIN CATS! But this is a truly superb shot, so I can't. I laughed for agesâ€Â¦ This is the best pet picture I've seen for a long time. Judging by the lighting, I'd say this was done in direct sunlight to get the cat lit properly. Not easy, and I expect it took a few goes getting the cat right. I can only award this a best of breed picture, but it deserves to do well by wit aloneâ€Â¦ (10) Really like the inventiveness and styleâ€Â¦ |

Stackby BlueDragonComment: Nice use of symmetry and linesâ€Â¦ Great composition – I really like the shot, but perhaps it's all a little to central? Not sure about that, but mostly the shot works really well – sky texture really sets the whole thing offâ€Â¦ (8) |

Quiet Reflection - No Mirrorby SimmsComment: Acedâ€Â¦ Can't fault thisâ€Â¦ Lighting is dramatic. I can't quite see how you got the appearance of the double candle flame on the left side of the shot, possibly because there is glass in the frame, but however you did it, it's the icing on an already mouth watering cakeâ€Â¦ Fantastic inventiveness and superb shooting (10) |
