I can't fault this picture technically, and wouldn't if I could - the concept of inanimate objects having holiday fantasies is wickedly amusing and deserves 10 on it's own. This is really clever on the eye. I love the surreal size illusion created within the shot; it all looks so normal at first glance, but when you look closely there's more to this picture than first meets the eyeâ€Â¦ Are they really giant pens? Great shot – worthy 10â€Â¦

The Force Be With You

This is a great image. It conveys so much – my interpretation is first day at (a new) school. The child in the picture has been – by accident or by design – posed to perfection. A great title would have been 'I need a hug'. The loneliness conveyed makes you want to reach out and reassure the little chap that everything's going to be all right. The angle produces a superb sense of scale and creates a feeling of trepidation for both the child and the onlooker. This is a really professionally executed shot and deserves 10 easily. Great shot all round, good luckâ€Â¦

New DP Challenger

I love the ideaâ€Â¦ DP Challengers are getting younger, and from what I can gather there are entrants as young as nine! This is a really nice shot. It has a lot going for it, the composition is great and I really like the warm, summery feel created by the strong shadows. Only problem – but it sticks out – is the over exposed Rose. Otherwise, great idea and great shotâ€Â¦
