Everything about this shot screams out class – with one exception; the people in the shot kill it almost stone deadâ€Â¦ The composition with the bin, the winding path, the colour – in fact, in every other aspect it's a potential high scoring shot. However, the people are the first thing I see when I look at the shot and I don't even think you wanted them thereâ€Â¦ The draw away is being caused by the angles within the picture focussing – like cross hairs - the attention towards the splash of colour (red in this case) that isn't the intended subjectâ€Â¦ Without the people, 9 (10 even), with the people, sorry, (4)â€Â¦ I think the subliminal effect here could cause this shot to wind up with a fairly low scoreâ€Â¦ Keep shootingâ€Â¦

Gross – but that's what this challenge is all about. Composition and exposure work well and add to the atmosphere of the shotâ€Â¦ (8)

Photography often requires a little luck, and a skull in smoke is just an awesome piece of it. The rest of the shot needs skill – lighting, composition, DOF and the likeâ€Â¦ Luck, plus skill equals a superb piece of photographyâ€Â¦ (10)

Superb! The spooky feeling, the sense of atrophy, and the suspense in the shot are totally awesome, but the chair is a stoke of pure genius; I'd be interested to know if this was lit by fill flash or a natural light source. The scene has an air of 'What's around the corner?' that makes you want to pan around the bend. The overall colour and dimly lit areas work to absolute perfection. Superb photography. (10)

This is a really clever and superbly executed shot. I don't look at titles until I have studied the picture, and I laughed when I saw what you had called it. I realise, from the title, the intent was a play upon talking rubbish, but you might be interested in my first opinion, thus: The sense of projectile movement and the wide, open mouth in the shot carries the message that garbage is the vomit of society; I like the concept, but I think a tastefully positioned bare bottom – whilst more controversial – would have carried the message even betterâ€Â¦ Now you can see why I laughedâ€Â¦ The shot itself is just superb, and even if I could find fault I wouldn't. It has been thought provoking and entertaining for the last twenty minutes. (10) Great photography and inventionâ€Â¦

Superb – can't fault the shot. Great drama created by those powerful symmetrical lines. Even the red blobs work – though they do draw the eye away from the picture as whole while you work out what they are. Nice colour combinations too. I'm glad you didn't fall into the temptation of B&W for this. (9)
