Garbage can in some very pretty surroundings. It seems to be working, as there is not garbage in the pathway. Good angle and framing/cropping. The people aren't in focus, but I don't think they are suposed to be. Your garbage can is in very good vocus. Lighting conditions are good. No annoying glares, or shadows. Nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. ~hbunch7187~

weak interpretation of the challenge

I would have liked it better if the people had been cropped out.

use less DOF to draw your eye away from the family in the background. As they are sharp, they look lik incidental subjects in the photo.

i think i would rate this higher if the people weren't there. but good shot.

Everything about this shot screams out class – with one exception; the people in the shot kill it almost stone deadâ€Â¦ The composition with the bin, the winding path, the colour – in fact, in every other aspect it's a potential high scoring shot. However, the people are the first thing I see when I look at the shot and I don't even think you wanted them thereâ€Â¦ The draw away is being caused by the angles within the picture focussing – like cross hairs - the attention towards the splash of colour (red in this case) that isn't the intended subjectâ€Â¦ Without the people, 9 (10 even), with the people, sorry, (4)â€Â¦ I think the subliminal effect here could cause this shot to wind up with a fairly low scoreâ€Â¦ Keep shootingâ€Â¦

This is the kind of photo I like to take myself. Not the garbage I mean, but this kind of composition. Nice work!

Nice shot, but I'd have preferred it if you'd waited till there were no people around. Perhaps a tall order if this was a busy spot!

Nice perspective shot. Good luck. Justine

Oh for a greater DOF on this one

The people in the back don't really do it for me. You tend to look at them and not the can, which should be the focus... even though they are out of focus.

this looks like a place in ny state.
