This is a nice shot with good use of DOF. Beautiful blue color on the subject with a nice offset of blue in the sky background. The bird works well against the tree branches. Perhaps cropping out the post would give center stage to the subject more, as the post is a bit distracting and not necessary. Overall, excellent shot for the challenge.
