Defying The Law of Balanceby Faye PekasComment: Not much of that snail is actually in focus. Good concept, but I'd like to see the shell and the antlers all in focus. One antler is just not enough, IMO. |

Mourners at a funeralby bpickardComment: Yes! I see it! I don't know if I see more than one mourer, but I defintely see one. Very cool and definitely bizzarre. Love the lighting and the shade of the sky. Those clouds were perfect for this shot! |

lost limbby clictacameraComment: The lighting in this is a bit off for me. The limb in the foreground is in shadow, but the open area right under that seems to be very bright. This makes it hard to really see the detail in the "lost limb" area. I see the "nature," but I don't really see "bizarre" in this. |

whale fossil or natural erosion?by nordicComment: That does look like a whale! Great picture. I would lke to see that shot with a different framing. You could have skipped the lower rock formation and went with more open space on the right. |

Beautiful.jpgby oteroaComment: I like the way you used the shallow DOF to blurr out the background, and in general I like the flowers. By choosing to focus on so many blooms, however, you seem to have lost the sharpness of the flowers, which are (collectively) your subject. IMO, it would be improved if you had got in even closer and focused on just one blossom. In that way, you'd avoid the soft focus on the petals toward the back of the picture. Certainly a nice picture, but that is an area where I think it could be improved. HTH. |

Earth From Above by hopperComment: Well, it is certainly an interesting composition, and the words are a good match for the action figure's look-down posture. I think the lighting is right on the mark, with the only mis-step being the glare on the book face just above the top (leftmost) and right above the word Earth. The horizontal line of the book is almost centered and the left-right settings are pretty much split as well. It would be interesting to see the lower dark area increased a bit to make it more of a two thirds portion of the photo. This almost begs for another book at the lower portion for him to be looking at. Of course, that one would be titled simply, BOOK. Good shot, HTH. |

Greenby KonadorComment: Interesting craft skills you have there. :) I like the foreground focus and the blurred out color in the background. Maybe just a bit more green area at the top to suit my taste, but overall very nice. |

... Closer Than They Appearby GeneralEComment: Good idea. The lighting doesn't help, though. Your lettering is hard to see in that angle, and the photo is pretty dark overall. Perhaps a lighter image reflected behind the letters would have let them show through more. Also, the partial brand name and the door frame are somewhat distracting. |
