October Tableby GraciousComment: The orange and green stripes remind me of some bad decorating fads of the seventies. The fake leaves do parallel that "plastic" feel, too. The stripes and framing make me want to reach out and catch the gourds as they roll off the table. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, the artist has created a sense of movement. |

Juneby s2fraserComment: The sky, lightening around the trees with darker blue at the edges of the frame, and the reflection make this a classically composed photo. The trees look sort of mushy, though. I feel the need for something more to make this photo rise above the mundane. |

November Stormby mariomelComment: The lighting looks like a Kinkaide painting. Brilliant and moody. Nice composition. |

November....all Soul's Dayby camelotnorthComment: Nice surreal feeling evoked by the filter used on the sky. I also like the muted colors and the crowded feeling of the images. The motif of the crosses move interestingly out of the frame reminding me of the William Cullen Bryant peom "Thanatopsis" and the innumerable caravan of souls that move from the earth constantly. I also like the angle. Interesting photo. |

Septemberby awpollardComment: Great color and the white steam/exhaust is a perfect foil for those colors. I would have thought the trolley/trian was much larger if there weren't a person in the photo to give me a sense of scale. I like the composition. |

December Waiting for Santaby ladpupmoeComment: Personal opinion here: I am not big on animals in costumes. We have a golden retriever, and they are such beautiful dogs. The dog's expression seems sad and disengaged. I do like how crisp all the textures in this photograph are. The wide variety of those textures is interesting. |

Novemberby photographistComment: This photograph leaves me unsure of what to focus on. I would like to see more of the dock down at the level of the water, or more of the far shore. One or the other. This framing makes the body of water seem insignificant to me. |

October :: Why me?by DefyTimeComment: Nice use of light and shadow; it certainly helps create the mood of the odd and grotesque. The placement of the subject within the frame is interesting and evokes a tension that parallels the mood of the lighting and subject. |

Mayby HRoxasComment: I like the lighting. The red and green overpower the yellow of the rose. I focus on the leaves rather than the actual flower, but perhaps that is what the artist was intending. I would need to see an entire calendar of these images to see if the idea works. |
