 Old Poway Park - Steam Engine

I went September as a title with this for the cold, darkish and yellowing of the trees to represent fall or autumn. It was actually raining in San Diego today.

Handheld, Center Weighted metering at 28mm (@ 100mm equivalent).

Nothing fancy: Levels and Curves, USM, Crop, resize.

Great color and the white steam/exhaust is a perfect foil for those colors. I would have thought the trolley/trian was much larger if there weren't a person in the photo to give me a sense of scale. I like the composition.

I love everything about this image except the woman is distracting to me. She isn't "lost" enough in the photo to be part of the scene, and she is left looking too much like a personal snapshot for me to envision on a calendar. 6.

Just a lovely shot really. Perfect callendar photo. Who's strings did you pull to get the train painted "Autum Orange"? :) 9.

Narrow guage? Where is this? Steam I'm assuming. What could make this better? This looks like a tourist shot and not a train/calendar shot. If your model was just enjoying the ride instead of waving at the camera (family members who ain't there?) this would look less like a snapshot.
God I love trains.
