| Great color and I love the use of the red background. Good framing. Slight loss of focus on back edges of rose is only issue here. Great overall shot. |

| I like the lighting. The red and green overpower the yellow of the rose. I focus on the leaves rather than the actual flower, but perhaps that is what the artist was intending. I would need to see an entire calendar of these images to see if the idea works. |

| Seems a bit out of focus to me. I think the petals draw my attention and the focus is on the a leaf. I really like the colors though, and the composition is great. |

| Good photo. I prefer the stem to start on the left and pull ones eye into the bloom. Also would like to see more detail in the center of blossom. 6 |

| Oh yea? I don't know about you but where I live I can get a yellow rose and a red background any month of the year. Off challenge to me. |

| Nice lighting in terms of shadow elimination. A little over-exposed around the yellow. I think this would have come of better with the focus more on the petals and same moved more toward center frame. |

| nice pic, i dunno if it's just me but the focus seems a little soft on the rose itself when compared to the leaves |
