I presume the children were the 'pleasant surpsrises' rather than the two glasses of wine in extravagent goblets? In which case I wouldn't have the wine there as it distracts from the subject matter. The pregnancy tester kit is a nice touch and the image as a whole is nicely taken.

Love this idea for this photo, the colours on the girl's coat contrast wonderfully on the grey of the tarmac and her being off centre in the frame works well. The facial expression is superb and I think the serendipity is met by the girl taking pleasure in something we would normally find depressing.
The two negatives I have is thay it is hard to tell on a small image but the girl does not appear to be pin sharp and the large shadow surrouding her (Is it the photograher's?) is distracting.

Looks like a screen grab from a television. As a macro shot this is not particularly good, not very sharp on any point. Also cannot see where serencpity comes into play.

Take it this is a worm. Clever idea, some chromatic abberation though. I'm not sure the worm looks that pleasing to my eye.

Unfortunate typo in the title, I am guessing the serendipity comes from the bush being able to sustain life and beauty despite being burnt out. Rather tenuous and not obvious without the title, but quite a nice image nevertheless, although photographically nothing stunning.

I think this is quite a clever photo - it fits the serendipity title purely on the surprised expression on the guy's face, whilst the photo gives the impression of it being candid or 'taken on the fly' whilst I suspect it was set up. I think I would have possibly has the party notice slightly fuller in the frame, where it stands is neither here nor there.

Photographically an interesting composition. For this to work as serendipity there has to be a need for the observer to see why a button in this situation is desireable, which unfortunately I cannot see where it does.

If that isn't a diamond in the egg - rather the residue from ther egg white - then congratulations : A great shot. If it is staged, then interesting idea but not as impressive. Image could be a little sharper.

Distractions top left of picture, but I think it does meet the challenge, the inquisitive looks from shoppers helps - can't decide whether two of them being blurred or not helps (probably not). If anyone is interested this is a show car of the Jordan Ford EJ14 in colour scheme from the recent Bahrain GP (Identifiable by the peace logo from Bahrain on the engine cover that is due to change every GP).
