An interesting photo - I like the depth of focus, though I find the ring to be out of focus slightly and so I missed it the first time I looked at this shot. I love hte little bits of fibers in the nest as well, which adds to the idea that this bird collected things, including this ring.

I really like this composition, how wonderful it was that you found this tree in full bloom. I think it could be cropped slightly at the top and perhaps the contrast heightened, but a lovely, compelling photo.

An interesting photo - the hand in the foreground feels overexposed and gives an odd sense of persepctive to the shot since it's so much larger. I don't mind staged shots such as this, but I'd like to see the bills integrated into the branches more organically (as if they've grown like leaves, perhaps). Great idea.

An interesting setting and lighting. Without your title, I have no reference for whether this is a common style for this neighborhood, or if it's out of place (but welcome) so the serendipity part is lost on me. I like the lanterns and the overall composition with the angle of the balcony and branches framing the top. I think I would crop it slightly on the left to heighten that.

I wanted to like this photo more, I like the scale of the bumble bee to the flowers, but it's rather grainy and the composition is just slightly off if the bee is to the be focus. It must have been a very fun shoot.

Of all the staged shots, this one worked the best for me. It's clear that it's a happy accident and the nature of the accident is well dramatized. The cropping is a little odd - I'd like to see it either closer or further away.

A very interesting take on the idea of serendipity. I like the composition, though I wish not all the pennies were showing their obverse side, though I can understand that you wanted to show that they weren't wheat pennies. Nice color balance. Very coppery.

a great action shot, catching the ball at just that moment. I don't care much for the border though and I wish I could see the batter's face a bit better.

Delightful sense of whimsy. I wish I could see the faces of the geese but the detail and shadow on the wings is quite nice as well. The candid catch of this feels like it meets the challenge of serendipity.
