Gazpacho 4 your heart???by MajankaComment: Hmmmm. Yeah. Call me old fashioned. Call me unsophisticated. It's soup. It's not supposed to be cold. Vichyssoise, Gazpacho, Borscht. These are all code words for the same thing.....cold, nasty soup. |

Sweetheartby shankswareComment: Okay....this is my new favorite. Simple. Elegant. Well executed. What more could I ask. Best use of the color pink I've seen so far. |

God Is Closer to My Heartby cfischlComment: Closer than what? Closer than a parade of flags? Closer than the color blue? Closer than ever before? What a great shot. I would emphasize the monochromatic nature of this shot by cropping a half inch off the bottom, eliminating the yellow lighted portiong at bottom center. Then, the archway/windows at the end become almost a door at the end of a long tunnel. Gorgeous color on this, really. It's just the title that throws me. It comes off as a cheap shot, trying to squeeze a photo into a challenge where it doesn't really belong by use of a not-so-clever title. |

Our Hearts Are With Youby jfwolpertComment: yeah....at first I wasn't that interested in this piece...or the title. It didn't really speak to me. Until I realized that the author might be referring not to "the troops" but to the victims of US agression in the middle east. My heart does indeed go out to those whose homes have been wrecked, bodies mutilated, and families destroyed. Viewed in that context, the image of rivers of blood rolling across the globe makes this a masterpiece of irony. If it were me, I would retitle it "Good intentions Gone Bad" |
