Classic agriculture shot With a grizzled weathered farmer in the feid inspecting his crop might have made this a little better and more consistant with what is seen in Newspaper. Still a good'n and I scored ya an 8

Ok what I see as wrong in this photo Lower right is that a head? Lighting a little harsh on the flower. composition IMO I would have moved to the left to get a slightly more 1/4 view. The title...I don't usally take the title into consideration but this challenge is different.
Something like " Schools Out! Popular Teacher/Proffessor/Dean retires after 35 years" would be more in scope with a newspaper headline.

What is good, your Idea your subject,your capture of emotion.

I gave you a 6 which I gave as the average for this challenge.

Your composition ,subject ,angle of shot title are all very good and meet the challenge perfectly. What is wrong ,well it is a little overexposed(look at the sky),the hand on the horse should not be there. For these reasons I scored it down and gave you a 6.

Great photo lousy headline it speaks volumes socially yet the headline you chose is not a headline but a commentary. Scored you a 7 where a well written"headline "would have scored you an 8 for sure.

Your choice of title while a poignaint social commentary leaves me wondering why you chose it for this challenge?
