This was actually an action shot. I was on the right side of the back stage shooting pics durring the dance in between the curtains so I couldnt be seen by the audience. My mother owns a dance studio and this was one of their performances. Their is fog on the stage creating some of that light affect but I do regret turning the contrast as high and thus creating too much light.

The photo has merit, but the over brightness really detracts and, for a newspaper, the really needs to be much more contrast.

the light is a bit too dazzling, and makes it a bit difficult to see what the supple ladies on the left are doing.

Good shot, but too artsy for a newspaper.

I see what you were going for here and its a great concept, but the bright light to the right is a little distracting. Great depiction of emotion and movement though!

Hmmmmmmm. I love the subject. Just not so sure about the light on the right of the picture. Picture has a certain drama to it.

In order of what comes to me first:
1) Great idea.
2) Great subject.
3) Too bright of a light. I don't like how over-exposed it is on the right or how it overwhelms the picture.
4) For a newspaper it would be best cropped to the dancers As it is it would work great for a magazine or advertisement.
5) I still really like it and it would have scored higher if it had met the challenge better.
Score: 6

Fantastic shot as ART I cannot critique. As a photograph one could nit pick the technical flaws but I have better things to do. So with out any ado i give you my score ...9

What's the bright light on the right side? Blinding..took me a minute to see the dancers. Should try burning it to make it darker..and crop out most of the right side..then burn. That might solve some problems. You may get a low score cuz of that.

Interesting photo. Good headline (in the arts section of course) Can't see the dancers very well though. Very nice attempt.
