1860 to 1869by jmritzComment: Wouldn't have cropped off the bottom corner. Could have taken off more from the top. |

Round & Roundby qmdiComment: I LOVE this picture. Great framing (including the yellow or gold line). Cropped perfectly. I have no idea what the round ring is, of course, but it makes a stunning "frame" for the amusement park in the background. I'd put one of these on my wall! |

Shhh!by KoolDudeComment: Just not cute enough... On second thought, I'm being too harsh. Technically I can't fault this picture at all. Lighting is good, framing right on, etc. It's just that it doesn't "move" me I suppose. I'm upgrading my vote, however. I was too harsh. I gave it a 1 and that wasn't fair. I'm moving it all the way to 5. |

Tranquilityby tolyanchikComment: The horizon is slanted, and the colors in the sky don't look natural. It's too hard to keep looking at this image and feel "silence" because of the colors. Sorry... keep trying! 2 |

After the Funeral...by seancgn68Comment: I think you got "silence" in this image. At first I really loved it and I still like it, but now I'm bothered by the position of the chandelier. Maybe you could have cropped a bit lower, still getting most of the railing? I dunno. Maybe it's just me. Contrast seems like it could be stronger, too. Anyhoo, I did give this picture a 7. |

.by rhipsterComment: Captured the theme beautifully. I like this photo; I like the repetition of the chairs and the floor / posts, the colors go together nicely. 7 |

"Peace and Quiet"by johnnydComment: Well, almost. Bet she can still hear the little one knocking at the door! Nonetheless, I think your picture captures the theme very well, and with a good dose of originality. Poor little guy looks SO unhappy! On a side note, I'm alternately happy / unhappy with the red No Solititors sign, which distracts me. If you had control over it, you might have removed it for this shot. Just a thought. |

Waiting in Silenceby f-32Comment: Nice, nice, nice! Soft, quiet, absolutely still. Not sure who's waiting -- the trees? for Spring? Ah... that's got to be it. Can't exactly say why, but the sky bothers me. Can't suggest what you could have done differently, however. Anyway, very good image. 7 |

Quiet Conversationby HRoxasComment: I suppose the title refers to a conversation with God? Whatever -- the picture is very good. GREAT lighting and the pews draw me into the alter in the center. Not convinced this image demonstrates "silence" but I'm also not holding that against it. Could be my own paradigm or whatever, because when I look at this picture I hear the church organ playing! anyway, nice job. I would have skewed the image to straighten out the posts. |
