Silent Drummerby KnotdamomaComment by boomer: Noise, noise, noise! Composition is a bit odd, as well. Focus is awfully soft. Try shifting your POV and using Portrait view perhaps |

Silent Drummerby KnotdamomaComment by soccerdad: This is too grainy to really get the effect that I am guessing you are going for. I might try either more light (which kids will more often than not sleep right through) or a tripod and longer exposure time. |

Silent Drummerby KnotdamomaComment by kellian: I realize it's hard to light someone who's asleep, but I think the lighting in this photo makes it a little flat. I also think the noise is distracting. Perhaps if your camera produces lesser quality images in dark environments you should make the final image smaller... just a suggestion. But not too small to really see the subject. |

Silent Drummerby KnotdamomaComment by gpierson: this photo has quality problems, the idea is to make technically good images that convey silence..not sure if photo would convey silence w/o title |

Silent Drummerby KnotdamomaComment by TabbyCat: Too grainy and not very clear. Background is a bit distracting. The picture could be improved tremendously with some good positioning and more contrast. Cute kid, though! :-) Great try. |

Silent Drummerby KnotdamomaComment by andywightman: This feels like a hastily taken shot. I presume the graininess a consequence of a low-end camera so not fault there. Composition is main concern. I need to see more of the child to evoke more silence. The drum attracts unwarranted attention. Try getting a bit highgher and close to child's face and you will then have a nice portrait rather than a rather cluttered snapshot. |
