First time shooting with a tripod... them things is crazy, lol. These are my dad's hands. I originally tried shooting with my gf's but they came out way too dark and so i had to reshoot. Her hands look a lot nicer than my dads unfortunately.

The idea is very clear in this image and it's easy to see how it relates to the challenge theme. The image has a gritty feel to it that comes from the grubby nature of the cards and the dark background. The image is interesting to me in that it does tell a story, but not particularly appealing aesthetically in the sense of my wanting to return to look at it again and again.

Reminds me of the red girl in Schindler´s List, that red card. Very nice photo, the colourse do the trick, also the old hand.

This is a wonderful concept.. very well "played", if you don't mind the pun, and great use of desaturation.
I had voted this a 9 before.. but the more I looked at it.. the more I think that it's my favorite of the challenge.. that it's got such depth, emotion, and strength of theme.. I've upgraded to a 10. Congrats.

I like this idea a lot. The soft upper edges of the cards is a bit disturbing, otherwise I feel it spot-on. GC

I really love the little details and the colours in this image. Composition could be slightly shifted to the right I think. Reminds me of one of those all guns blazing western movies. I have a feeling that's what you have attempted to do. If that's so, you have achieved it well.

I really like this. Great coloring, too.

I love the concept of the pic, but the coloring seems a little muted and the picture overly dark.

Good one - I feel the "hope"! I like how the desaturation draws attention to the draw card. I would suggest that the cards in hand be randomly ordered - I think that would help it feel more real and less staged.

I like the desaturated look of this photo. The less than pristine cards helps as well. - 7
