Commonly known as "Leather Fern". This plant is the beautiful fern which so often compliments a bouquet of Roses.

Nice composition, good colors and pattern. I like that there is another leaf in the background which gives an impression that it was taken in the plant's natural habitat. Was it?

I don't normally like out of focus objects in the background, but the placement and the extreme detail of the leaves in the foreground make up for it. And those foreground leaves: the white outlines against the black background with the bright greens ... they're awesome. Like the cropping across the top also.

Wonderfully structured image and the use of backlighting makes the picture that little bit different..bumping from 7 to 9.

Beautifully done. I like the element of backlighting the foreground flower. Against the black background, it really pops. I think you could have eliminated the background fern altogether and used the negative space to accentuate the subject even more.

Great lighting, really delineates the edges of the leaves. Love the faint background branch too. Lovely composition with strong diagonal and with that little bit of interest in what would be the black half.

Wonderful lighting. I like the repeating shape in the background but wonder if it would be stronger if it were more green (instead of gray.) Textures are amazing.
