...actually, they're 66.6% of a set of triplets. I took some others with all 30 toes included, but this is the one that I liked best. These little punkins were only 4.5 lbs at birth, and are already up to 9lbs each. Rest of the series can be found here

Quadtone, resize, USM, border. that's it. Shot on the first day of the challenge.

Thanks for lookin'.

this too cute. I wish that both sets were in focus tho. 9!

Nice photo, not sure about the compostion. A little too much wasted space bottom right.

I am not sure I can pinpoint why I like this so much. The focus is good. the contrast is good. Levels are good. Composition is good. But all of that would just make a technically good picture. Somehow the sum of the parts is more and I really like it. Among my top 5 picks for this challenge.

I would have cropped this differently. Too much blank space. I wonder if a different angle would have enabled more uniform focus (more from the right).

less would have been more for me - or else all feet more on the focal plane - a pity the two feet are cut - I do like the lighting though

Wow, that foot feel like it is coming out of the screen. Love it. 10

I really love your choice of lighting and the color treatment. Very nice. My only thoughts on a change would be to have the very back foot a little more in focus. As it is, it looks a little odd, might help to have the toes just a little more defined. But overall, I think the composition is great and again the color treatment is top notch!

I like this a lot. Lighting is beautiful and black and white works very well to bring out the shapes and textures. I am a fan of negative space but I think there is a touch too much here and this works better for me if I crop a little from the bottom and right edges. 8

excellent contrast and detail, the placement off the feet could have been better though imo

I love the concept but I think that with a title like twins I would really have liked to see all 4 feet in focus.

I hate work like this, when someone does the same sort of shot you do for a challenge only they do it better. Perhaps a bit shallow on the DOF but a lovely shot.

Exellent use of the background. Great DOF 7

Awwwww. Very cute. But it would've been cuter to get all 4 feet in focus. Just a slightly deeper DoF and you'd have a perfect shot.

angels. :) beautiful photo, although the composition bothers me a bit, not sure why exactly. maybe i might have liked to see just a bit cropped off the bottom and right to focus a little more on those precious toes? i'm not sure. but still a wonderful shot, very nicely done.
p.s. this is the third time i have come back to this because the tones and contrasts are just so beautiful. 10, for the record.
